Recycled polyethylene terephthalate, also known as recycled plastic, is made from plastic bottles and is used throughout our ranges on varies garments. Recycled polyester is a valuable solution to reducing plastic pollution, by giving a second life to post-consumer waste. Without recycling, these materials would end up in landfills or contribute to the pollution of our oceans. Our aim goes beyond just offering these recycled products; we also aim to find new and innovative solutions such as bio-plastics, and we hope as we progress in this journey we can educate our customers about the significance of recycling and repurposing non-biodegradable items and encourage a culture of responsible consumption.

Organic Cotton products have been included now for multiple seasons, making up to 16% of our cotton styles. According to the WWF foundation, it takes an average of 2,700 litres of water to produce a single T-shirt, making it a highly water-intensive crop. Cotton is responsible for approximately 6% of the world's pesticide usage and 16% of insecticide consumption. To address these issues, we have embraced Organic Cotton as an alternative. By using Organic Cotton, we not only reduce environmental harm but also contribute to the well-being of farmers and downstream communities.

Organic Waffle Knit was introduced for R41 as a new material to offer in our classic sweater. The Waffle knit being made from a cotton base, it faces significant ecological challenges. According to the WWF foundation, it takes an average of 2,700 litres of water to produce a single garment, making it a highly water-intensive crop. We will continue to offer Waffle Knit products as we do our part to try reduce environmental harm.

Recycled buttons are reclaimed buttons found on fabric scraps or used textiles to used on new material and products. We offer recycled buttons on all of our shirting and cut & sew products.

Our skateboard decks are made in Mexico out of high quality, FSC certified Canadian maple wood. By using FSC certified wood, we ensure that the maple used in our decks comes from responsibly managed forests, reducing the risk of illegally logging and less sustainable forestry practices. 

100% of our packaging and swing tags are sourced from recycled or compostable materials. This commitment helps us reduce waste and minimise our environmental footprint.
